We are currently developing a programme of temporary artistic interventions for vacant sites across four urban centres in Hampshire.
The team consists of project manager Phil Smith, from SCAD, artist Michael Pinsky, appointed as Creative Producer, and freelancer and PhD candidate, Stéphanie Delcroix.
Urban Fallow was initiated by the Solent Centre for Architecture and Urban Design to animate spaces whose redevelopment was being held up by the economical slowdown. For some, things have started to move again and Urban Fallow is now focussing its attention on the ones which are still completely or partly fallow.
If you are developing artworks and designs for the temporary use of urban spaces and think your work can interest us, please drop us an email or write a comment!
This blog was created to document and support the research and development of the Urban Fallow project.
